Who we are
This website, www.alexloveland.com, is run by Loveland Studios, LLC, a Virginia company owned by Alex Loveland ("we", "us", "I"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, buy something, join the email list or use a free tool, and what we do with it.
Questions? Email alex@alexchalkley.com.
What we collect
- What you give us. Your name and email when you join the email list, take a quiz or use a free tool. Anything you type into a tool, like your pricing numbers or, for the birth chart reading, your birth date, time and place. Messages you send us.
- When you buy. Your name, email, billing address and phone number if asked. Card payments are handled by our payment processors (Kajabi Payments, which uses Stripe, and PayPal where offered). We never see or store your full card number.
- When you join the community. Get Clients. Make Money. runs on Skool. Skool collects your sign-up and billing details under its own privacy policy.
- Automatically. Pages you visit, links you click, your browser and device type, rough location from your IP address, and which emails you open. This comes from cookies and similar tools (see below).
How we use it
- To deliver what you asked for: your purchase, your library access, your free download or your tool results.
- To send you emails: tips, new tools and trainings, and offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave any time.
- To answer your questions and give support.
- To understand what is working on the site and improve it.
- To show our ads to people who have visited the site, on platforms like Facebook and Instagram, and to measure those ads.
- To keep records we need for taxes, accounting and the law, and to prevent fraud.
Cookies, analytics and ads
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use them to keep you logged in, to make checkout work and to measure how the site is used. Kajabi, the platform this site runs on, collects site analytics for us.
We may also use the Meta (Facebook) pixel and Google Analytics. These let Meta and Google see that you visited, so we can measure our marketing and show you our ads. You can limit this in your browser settings, in your Facebook ad preferences, or with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies may stop parts of the site, like checkout and login, from working.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Kajabi (website, email, courses, checkout)
- Payment processors such as Stripe and PayPal
- Skool (the community)
- Meta and Google (analytics and ads, if in use)
- Our accountant, lawyers or the authorities if the law requires it
If the business is ever sold or merged, your information may move with it under this same policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you are on the email list, hold a purchase or need support, and as long as tax and legal rules require. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove what identifies you.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time with the link in any email. You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing alex@alexchalkley.com. We will answer within 30 days.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have extra rights, such as objecting to how we use your information, asking for a copy you can take elsewhere, or opting out of ads based on your activity. Email us to use any of them, and we will not treat you differently for asking. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Where your information is stored
We are based in the United States, and our providers store information in the United States and other countries. By using the site you understand your information may be processed outside your own country.
Keeping it safe
We use trusted providers and secure checkout. No website is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password for your account and tell us right away if you think something is wrong.
Children
This site is for adults running businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We may also email you about big changes.
